James searches for consistency

One week after a dismal finish at WCS, Rick James and team look to rebound at the KCRP River Ranger 75. James led the initial 19 laps last week before a mishap on pit road effectively ended his day, finishing several laps down. Crew Chief Silky Johnson was seen going off in a rant after the races conclusion and several crew members were in a dazed state it seemed. No changes have been officially made for the next event as of this writing. The team seemed pretty happy with the way the car was working and Rick made little to no comments about its handling.

KCRP has been an altogether different story as the team has been slow in practice and only managed 31st quick, slotting them in unfamiliar B Main starting territory. The B is slated for 25 laps and James rolls off from 4th starting position. Rumblings in the garage were something about Johnson changing the shock package heading into the weekend but we have not been able to reach him for comment. James has also been noticeably invisible in the media this week. Normally one to seek the spotlight, Rick has been almost non existent, only seen around the offices of his Dallas China Club.
